John Viteritti, a local retired professor, will lead a lecture on American History. This lecture will cover key events leading up to the U.S. entry into World War II, including Hitler's invasions of Czechoslovakia and Poland, the fall of France, the Battle of Britain, and America's shift from neutrality to active involvement, highlighted by the Lend-Lease Act, the Atlantic Charter, and the attack on Pearl Harbor. It will also discuss the political and military preparations in the U.S., including the peacetime draft, key figures like Lindbergh and FDR's advisors, and the impact of events such as Operation Barbarossa
