“Nature In, Nature Out” depicts my coming to appreciate common elements that bind my work in watercolor, gouache and ink. Like mycelium, with branches and tendrils vital to every land and aquatic ecosystem, my lines, strokes, and amorphic shapes mimic those found in nature and wind their way in and out of every painting regardless of subject or medium. It has become my creative language. Sometimes it speaks quietly and other times it shouts for attention. My hope is to invite you to “select pause” observe the common threads and join me in the awesomeness of nature.
