Program Description

Event Details

After World War II, the German campaign plan for the Battle of France became known as Sichelschnitt, the “Scythe Cut,” to describe the Wehrmacht‘s success, in 1940, in cutting through Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France, and driving England off the continent – all in six weeks. That summer, 8 million refugees were displaced from France, Holland, and Belgium. Our presentation will bring the campaign to life as well as clarify persistent myths.
