Program Description

Event Details

Brazilian BBQ shares its origins with American BBQ, both stemming from the resourcefulness of cowboys in the past. In Brazil, the tradition evolved as a way for these cowboys to cook skewered meats slowly over open fires, with the meat being sliced directly off the skewer and served with a variety of sauces and condiments.

A highlight of Brazilian BBQ is the renowned Picanha—skewered, tender steak that is a true culinary staple. Another favorite dish that adds a flavorful twist is Piri Piri Chicken, which reflects Brazil’s Portuguese influence and African heritage. This chicken is marinated in a blend of spices, pepper, and oil, then grilled to perfection.

To complement these dishes, traditional accompaniments such as farofa— a toasted manioc meal dish reminiscent of grits—garlic collard greens, and a refreshing chickpea salad will be served.

Join us for a truly authentic Brazilian BBQ experience that celebrates rich flavors and cultural history!
