yet be in all quarters of the earth."

John Lubbock

February is National Book Lovers Month as well as Library Lovers' Month> Celebrate accordingly.

February can feel like the longest month even though it's the shortest. I am probably in the minority...I am hoping for a good snowstorm. We should have at least one before winter is over.

For those who know me, they know I am a big proponent of reading a series during the winter. Since most folks are at home more than during the warmer months, a good series can help get you through the winter. With that said, please check out the Winter Reading Challenge.

The Winter Reading Challenge, Cozy Up with a Series, begins February 1st at 10am and ends April 30th.

Come on down and sign up!

February is the month of love... Valentine's Day. A good month to pick up a romance, love or friendship book to get lost in. I usually like historical romance novels which is why I have read most of the Outlander Series by Diana Gabladon. For contemporary romance, I pick up Nicholas Sparks, Jennifer Weiner, Anita Shreve, Josie Silver.

However you spend Valentine's Day, enjoy it.

February includes Presidents Day. There are some good biographies, autobiographies and fiction about Presidents if you would like to find out more about your favorite President. Mine is Teddy Roosevelt. My favorite book about him is Mornings On Horseback by Daivd McCullough. That's one I've read a few times.
